Gene Penning – Management Consultant & Solutions Architect
Mr. Penning is a Senior Management resource with over 20 years experience in operations, engineering, information technologies and management within the telecommunications sector. His background includes all areas of planning, design, development, integration, and deployment of networks, products, services, enterprise infrastructures, advanced technologies and large scale support system solutions. He possesses an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their commercial applications across industries. Mr. Penning has applied his expertise for entrepreneurial, mid-range and large corporate businesses working in multi-cultural environments domestic to the United States, as well as the international markets of the Bahamas, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and Argentina.
Presently, Mr. Penning provides professional services as an Executive Management Advisor for telecommunications and technology organizations requiring assistance with strategic planning, leadership, program management, organizational transformation, technology alignment, infrastructure and system architectures, process re-engineering, vendor management and implementation oversight of capital projects.
Recently Mr. Penning completed an enterprise data center migration project for NANA Development Corporation in Anchorage Alaska. Previously, he has held various advisory and consulting roles providing services to top tier international consulting firms, telecommunications service providers, independent software vendors and the US Federal Government for the Executive Office of the President at the White House. Early in Mr. Penning’s career he held positions ranging from technical engineering, middle management and executive leadership with Convergent Communications, Nextel Communications, PacTel Corporation, Alltel Mobile and Motorola.
Mr. Penning has extensive technical hands-on experience in wireless and broadband telecommunications, network equipment and design, operating systems, software languages, databases, communication protocols, software development, Internet tools, and holds patents in software technologies.
